( Quizzes of procrastination )And from
arhh1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.1. What are your roots (i.e. nationality, heritage, etc.)?
2. What is your favorite fandom and ship? (yeah, I just cheated and asked two questions in one :P)
3. If you were stranded on a desert island and other than the basics required to sustain you, you could only have three books, what would they be?
4. If you could have any job you wanted, what would you choose and why?
5. If you could travel back in time to witness any event or era in history, when and where would you go?1. My nationality is Australian. My family history is very patchy due to the fact that both my grandfathers were adopted and nothing is known about their birth parents, that said I do know a fair bit about my grandmother's. My mother's mother's history can be traced back to the arrival of
the first fleet. My mother is a diverse mix of Irish, Spanish, Polish, French and American (probably of Irish decent), it can be assumed from what little is known of my mother's father that he is at least part Scottish. My father's mother's family also has a long history in the early colonies of Australia. My great great great great grandfather was
George Higinbotham , an Irish man of Dutch descent who emigrated first to England, then to Australia, eventually becoming a prominent politician, journalist and lawyer before eventually becoming attorney-general of the colony of Victoria. I also have more Dutch and Irish ancestors in my father's family, it is assumed that my father's father was also of Irish decent. Generally speaking I identify myself as a Dutch-Irish Australian.
2. My very favorite fandom is
The X-files mainly because it was my first and it still holds my interest 15 years later and my favorite ship is Scully/Mulder, for the same reasons.
3.
Good Omens Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett - because it is by both my favorite authors,
Active First Aid - because I have an incurably practical streak and
The Macquarie Dictionary - because if I'm going to be stuck on a desert island I'm going to writing about it and I need to be able to spell.
4. I would love to be a foreign correspondent for
The Age, I would love to travel and write. (I'm a media studies major.)
5. i would like to travel back to the extinction of the dinosaurs and write about what happened, solving the mystery once and for all.
