My iPod is fucked. Thankfully it is under warranty until December so mum is sending me down the reicept so I can get it fixed/replaced. I also have my old-school 20GB 3rd generation iPod to keep me going but it a) needs a new battery so only lasts about 1 hour at the most off a full charge and b) is on 20GB so is missing 1/2 my music.

I am finally finished paying off my Centrelink cash advance for this year which means I now have an extra $55.60/fortnight, yays!

The contract on the apartment went through today, it took an extra five days because my dad is fails at using the post office and sent the contract back to Melbourne via registered post instead of express post. WTG dad.

My parents suck at communication. I asked mum an innocent question about the tennant who is currently living in the apartment. Mum said "Hang on I'll ask your father." 33 minutes and a whole lot of high-pitched shrieking later I finally got the reply "I don't know." You want to know the secret of a long marriage? It is simple, don't ever try to communicate. My parental units rearely ever do and they've been married 25 years now. I have the sinking feeling that I'm going to be in for a lot of petty squabbling between the two of them over the next six months or so.

I am very much enjoying mid-semester break and the chance to catch up on sleep it is affording me. I've been dragging myself out of bed at midday all week. I have also been shopping a lot. I am decorating my apartment in back and white and so far have lay-buyed: 2x black sheet sets, 1x black and white quilt cover. I have also found the sofa I'm going to buy and the TV I want. Tomorrow I'm dragging myself into university to work on essays. Then Thursday and Friday I'm shopping some more.

My muse is all over the place right now. I have signed up at 20_est_relships to write House/Stacy fic and at 100_situations to write Stacy fic but I can't concentrate long enough to actually finish anything right now, my muse has ADD or something. I do have something really solid in my head that I'm hoping to finish before I go back to uni next week and tiredness sucks all the creative life out of me again. I'm also starting to work on an layout based on FAMFAMFAM.
