How is it that in the 13 or so months I've had this journal I've never once mentioned The West Wing? It is one of my favorite TV shows ever, that I have failed to talk about it does not make sense.

Which brings me to the main theme of this post, the two most awesome drabble contests ever are currently on and I'm on mid-semester break! YAYS! I do have this pesky media studies essay to write but it is finally coming together and will be done tonight with any luck whatsoever.

First there is the murphy_fans drabble-off which is the most awesome thing ever, I'm particularly intrigued by fuyu_ginga's request for: + Something that's both really deep and really Corky-centric. Corky is such an amazing character and I think a lot of people just see her as this blonde, southern airhead so I'd like to write something that explores her in depth.

Also running is 38gnihsurc's The District Is Delightful and Delicious TWW drabble contest for which I have several ideas including a The West Wing/Murphy Brown crossover involving an the FYI crew and the Bartlet staffers in a prank war.

Wee, I'm so excited!

Firstly the meh things:

I'm coming down with a cold, I have a cough and my throat is starting to hurt a little, also I'm feeling more tired today that I should despite getting some decent sleep.

The apartment is still a mess, I'll clean it tomorrow or something, I'm too tired to think about it now.

And now the good things:

I started creating masterlists of the fanfiction I wrote over at femslashqueen and realized I wrote over 400 pieces in just over two years, I can't believe I wrote that much.

I signed up for tww_remix, I'm a little nervous, it is the first time I've remixed a story or had one of my stories remixed.

I wrote a couple of 30 Rock drabbles and I've started on my sorkin_fest fic.

I finally posted the main interview questions for my research paper into Sports Night fandom

I'm generally feeling really good, other than the cold.
