I got a new haircut on Monday, I love it, it is the first time in a long time that I've been even remotely happy with my hair!



I'm slowly getting through my essays, I'm feeling confident for the first time that I'm going to have some chance of getting everything done.

Yeah, maybe when I say I won't be around much you should ignore me, I've been around more this week than I have been in ages.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who wished me well in my last post, the infection has cleared up nicely and I'm almost done with the Cefalexin and Erythromycin which is kind of a shame because I have to go back to eating next to no carbohydrates for weight loss now, I've been allowed to eat what I want for the last week and it has been fun times, oh well.

Speaking of weight loss however, it is working, I've dropped probably two dress sizes since August and generally feel healthier, more energetic which is great! The only downside is that none of my clothes fit properly anymore and my budget for buying new stuff is limited. Also frustrating is the cost of food, I started dieting when a lot of fresh food was in season and abundantly available which meant the costs were far less, now not so much, I'm paying $3.00 for a cucumber some days at the moment. But I'm going to stick with it because the results are worth it, I can go into normal clothing stores now and fit into stuff, I'd fit into a whole heap more stuff if it wasn't for my 16E bust.

Today I had my exam for Sex and the Media which should have been last Friday but had to be postponed because I was too sick to get out of bed last Friday. I think I did well, though I could have used more time, 10 relatively complex questions in two and a half hours it a lot. I'm going to miss this class, I love Terrie, my lecturer and the exam had a question about Murphy Brown which was freaking awesome!

I still have three essays to write but I'm getting there, my biggest concern at the moment is that I have a politics exam on the 6th of November that involves writing two essays in two hours and once I'm done with all my essays I'm going to have next to no time to prepare.

Well, I've got to go and continue writing said essays, there will be flail tonight as 30 Rock is nearly downloaded, I still need to squee about the first four episodes of House and I'll be downloading Private Practice today as well.

04. I just watched the first episode of season four of Weeds, I'll write more when I rewatch it and after I actually watch season three, I haven't seen it yet, because I couldn't download last year, I'll d/l it tomorrow at university.

Well I need to get back to my essay so more later.

So I've kind of had the beginnings of this RP idea in my head for a while now and this fic, A Year of Lying Awake by pwcorgigirl kind of further solidified the concept.

Basically it is massively AU, House and Wilson have drifted apart following House faking the brain tumor in season three. Wilson takes a leave of absence following the season three finale and decides to lecture at McGill university, his undergraduate alma mater.

In one of his undergraduate microbiology courses he meets a 29 year old mature age student by the name of Amber Volakis who is willing to do anything to get what she wants.

I have always wanted to explore both the idea of Wilson as teacher and of the Amber/Wilson relationship without House creating drama for them.

Is this idea entirely insane?

Also is anyone interested in playing this with me? I'd prefer to be Wilson, simply because Amber would be too easy for me, I basically turn into Amber when placed in a classroom, both manipulative and competitive.
